Credo operates the food and beverage program at the National Library of Norway, while also leading a public outreach initiative dedicated to Norwegian food history and culinary culture. Together, Credo and the National Library aim to create a meeting place where knowledge, craftsmanship, and the cultural significance of food are shared with a broad audience.

Founded in Trondheim, Credo celebrated its 25th anniversary in October 2023. In 2019, the restaurant received both its first Michelin star and the Michelin Green Star, recognizing its commitment to sustainable practices, close relationships with local producers, and a thoughtful approach to ingredient sourcing and storytelling through food.

When invited to collaborate with Credo, our approach began with listening — engaging directly with the chefs and service staff who work in the restaurant every day. Through these conversations, we explored Credo’s core values and considered what their uniforms should communicate both practically and visually.

The design process focused on craftsmanship, minimalism, innovation, sustainable materials, and timeless design — values that align closely with Credo’s philosophy. The collection builds on the foundation of our earlier garment designs, refined with new details and tailored to suit the demands of both kitchen and service environments.

Our goal was to create functional garments with a clear design identity that would integrate naturally with the restaurant’s atmosphere and architectural setting. The collection features mandarin collars, pleats, and considered pocket details, crafted in sustainable fabrics such as linen. The aesthetic draws inspiration from Nordic minimalism and traditional Japanese workwear — resulting in garments that are simple, practical, and quietly elegant.
